For now, you can assume that the Spectra 400 is pretty much comparable to an AMD K6-2/400 in terms of its raw power, but its interaction with the rest of your PC (memory, I/O, etc.) will be limited by slower external clock speeds and buses. So a new, true AMD 400 system would be quicker, but by how much will depend on how old your PC is. Most of the stuff we review goes straight back to the manufacturers, particularly hardware. Sometimes games and low cost applications stay with the reviewers, at the manufacturers' discretion. |
