I need help desperately. I installed the disk for the scanner, and it says that it is working, but the scanner is not working. If it said that it was not working, perhaps I could rework everything. I just reinstalled Microsoft Windows XP Professional. I had a virus, and had to clear everything totally out and start completely over. All of my programs are fine and my printer is fine, but when I went to reinstall the ScanSoft PaperPort Deluxe 7 Visoneer Scanner, it would not work, even though supposedly it says that it is working. Please help.

I'M HAVING A PROBLLEM SCANNING ,COPING, and E-MAILING THINGS. THE COMPUTER KEEPS SAYING TO UNLOCK MY SYSTEM AND THAT THE BUTTON IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCANNNER. THERE ARE NO BUTTONS AT ALL ON THE BOTTTOM OF MY SCANNER.

I have a visioneer one touch 5800 usb scanner, can't unlock and deleted program and started over to install. Still with no luck, can you help me.

Note: On the 5800 or 5820 scanners, there is no physical switch to "unlock" the scanner
Ensure you are using the power supply that was provided with the scanner. The label should be Bestec or YHI 100-120V AC input, and 12V DC Output, plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip. The power through the strip may be fluctuating and causing the problem.
Verify you are using the minimum memory required to run the scanner: minimum requirements include 64MB of Ram for Windows 98/2000/ME, and a minimum 128MB for Windows XP (256 MB of RAM is recommended).
Download and install the driver provided on the support website.
Click Product Downloads and choose your product from the drop down lists.
If the issue is still present, it may be a hardware issue. Try exchanging the scanner with the place of purchase or Contact Support for further troubleshooting..

i have a visioneer one touch 5820 usb, and i saw this thread. i also need to know how to unlock my scanner, i also do not have a lock on the bottom.
