From: Steve Bellis | posted: 28.09.2004 16:32 I recently purchased a TINY POWERLITE 3200 DVDR notebook. The first time I used it, I got repeated ELECTRIC SHOCKS from a bolt in the base. I complained to TINY strainght away - the day after delivery. They refused to exchange the item and offered a repair. Since then I have heard NOTHING despite three faxes demanding an immediate resolution. I am £750 out of pocket, have a defective laptop that is DANGEROUS and they are completely ignoring me. So much for customer service - I am going to have to sue them it would seem. If anybody else has had a similar problem please let me know. For any potential buyers - BEWARE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! stevebellis.investigations@btinternet.com |

From: Daniel Warren | posted: 30.09.2004 17:52 Granville Technology is extremely concerned that a system of ours may be causing the issue stated by Mr Bellis, upon it first being reported a return was raised for the system to be inspected, however at Mr Bellis's request this was not actioned. I have now been in contact with Mr Bellis, and following the collection of his system a refund has been authorised, and a full inspection of his system will be carried out to find out the cause of his concern. From: Steve Bellis | posted: 21.10.2004 12:24 Tiny/Time/Granvlle Technology failed to collect the item when they said they would. Very annoying as I had to stay at home for half a day. When I complained, I was asked to take the laptop to my local store! Clearly, I should not have been required to do this but I agreed and took the computer to the shop the same day - 04/10/04. I was told that a refund would be processed within 15 days. In the absence of any response I have today 21/10/04 contacted Granville Technology to see where my refund is, only to be told that they had not even collected the machine yet from their local shop! I understand that collection has been arranged for tomorrow but I will then have to wait a further 15 days for the item to be checked and a refund to be authorised. This is not good. It tells you everything you need to know about Tiny/Time/Granville. In the meantime I have bought another laptop from one of their competitors and found the service spot on. Coincidentally, I got my son's computer repaired there at the same time. No delays, no problems and a whole (PC) World of difference. All I can say is that anyone alse considering a purchase from the Burnley cowboys had better know a good sheriff. |

From: Mr Parr | posted: 01.02.2005 16:23 Myself and some of friends raised money last year for a local charity in order to buy them a much needed computer, for the younger children who attend this charity. I ordered a pc on tiny.com in November 2004 and was told that the item would be delivered within 10 days well in time for them to receive it before Christmas. The delivery never arrived and 3 weeks later we found that Tiny had been trying to deliver the item to the wrong address...not the one I confirmed or on the order. We were then forced to get together more money to buy another PC elsewhere to ensure it was received in time for Christmas ...It is now February and we are still waiting for a refund. After speaking to tiny so many times I forgotten we have been left with no other option than to issue county court proceedings against them to claim back our money. Don't let them push you around take them straight to court !!!! |

From: Chris Challis | posted: 12.02.2005 09:03 It would seem we are all suffering from this faceless company, They sell, then your out in the cold on your own, any problems you get no response and have the annoyance of being kept waiting on premium rate number for ever, with no answer past sales. I ordered a laptop, it never arrived, I called them "ah that order didnt go through" once again through the process of address, spec Credit card details on prem rate line! In total this happened 5 times, on the last confirmation it didnt go through they said if I wanted the laptop I would have to go through the process again otherwise there is no order now & I would not receive the laptop! I decided enough was enough and cancelled to sales girl then so there was no misunderstanding I sent a letter via the fax 1 hour later. I since purchased a similar spec top range laptop on that Friday pm which arrived Monday AM Great. So why am I complaining apart from the incompetence of Tiny. Well I was happy getting on with the new laptop, then 2 weeks after having cancelling with TINY a delivery to my door with a TINY laptop, I refused, got straight on the phone to Credit Card company to discover they had withdrawn Funds. I have tried every day for 12 days now (12th Feb 05)cannot speak to anyone I am sure your directed to a non existant phone, in other words it just rings and no one will never pick up. I have faxed them, they never reply or respond. The only call I ever received was left on my answer phone to say they recived/returned the package they had sent. I CONSIDER THEIR ACTIONS DAYLIGHT ROBERY & KNOWINGLY BLATENT MISS USE OF CREDIT CARD DETAILS. THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THEY HAVE THE GOODS, DESPITE FAXES TO CUSTOMER SUPPORT THEY REFUSE TO TALK TO ME OR REFUND AT THIS TIME. NOR CAN THEY DENY MY CANCELLING BY LETTER. I HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE TO TAKE THE MATTER FURTHER. YOU CAN ONLY DEAL WITH THE FACTS AS THEY ARE PRESENTED TO YOU,I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN 'TINY' THEIR BUSINESS ETHICS BORDER DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO CRIMINAL, BY THEIR OWN DOING!, REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING BAD NEWS TRAVELS FASTER THAN GOOD! (((((( BEWARE PROSPECTIVE COMPUTER BUYERS )))))) If any one knows any addresses or contact nos, people I would be gratefull. please post a reply. Chris |
