From: Bill P | posted: 11.10.2006 11:48 Just to say I am having the same miserable experience with MESH as most people here. Ordered a top of the range quad sli system, with AMD processor, 4GB memory, 600G raid array etc etc, for almost £3000. Opted for the Guarrenteed Saturday delivery. As you can tell I hadn't found this site before I ordered. Wednesday 23/08/06 Placed order, received the email detailing the spec etc and informed that I would get another email detailing delivery dates etc. Wednesday 30/08/06 Received email telling me of my expected delivery date 23/09/06 Friday 22/09/06 Got voicemail telling me of a delay to delivery of 1 week due to the graphics cards being unavailable. Fair enough, I think, they let me know so I wouldnt waste time being in. New delivery date 30/09/06 Friday 29/09/06 Call customer services to ensure that delivery was ok for the Saturday. Was informed it was all good. Saturday 30/09/06 Waited in all morning, no show. Called and eventually spoke to someone telling me the system hadnt been shipped, and they would call me back. They did call me back to tell me of a configuration problem. The PC has conflicts with the graphics cards and 4GB memory, so I tell them to drop it to 2GB and refund me the £200. Tuesday 03/10/06 Called to check on the status and was told the build had been finished and as I had opted for the Saturday delivery then I would receive it on Saturday morning. Friday 06/10/06 Called again to check the status, told to expect delivery as scheduled on the Saturday Saturday 07/10/06 PC doesnt show. Call and cant get through, eventually get through to someone in sales who cant help but they would pass on the info to customer services, apparently there customers dont need service at the weekend. Monday 09/10/06 Call again, person tells the system has been ready since the 3rd and is wondering why I havent received it. At 12.30 receive a voicemail telling me system has shipped and I should get it Tuesday Tuesday 10/10/06 Call at 5.30pm wondering if the PC had shipped and the courier was late. Informed that the system hadnt shipped again. Go ballistic. Wednesday 11/10/06 Called at 9.00am demand system is delivered on the 12th or the order will be cancelled. I'll let you know tomorrow what happens. Bill |

From: pje | posted: 21.11.2006 11:56 I bought my mesh pc in August it did not arrive on the date given so I rang to tell them, I was told the courier could not find my address, fair enough if I lived in the middle of nowhere but I live on a busy road in Manchester, and they managed to find a friend of mines address who lives on the same road, I was also told that neither mesh or the courier is responsible for letting me know I could not be found. So I ended up collecting the pc myself. I emailed mesh regarding this, I am still waiting for a reply about this 3 months later, from the first day I used the pc which was September by this time, the hard drive made a clicking sound so I tried a few times to contact mesh but the phone line was always busy or just not answered then after a few weeks the pc started slowing to a snails pace and experiencing BSOD, so I stepped up my efforts to contact them and finally got through to them and was told it was hard drive failure and I would get a replacement sent out and fitted, just over a week later an engineer came to do this, he put the new one in and the pc would not boot up he, he tried to phone mesh while at my house but surprise surprise he could not get through he then had to leave but said mesh would ring me, 2 days later I had still heard nothing so was about to phone again but then was told I should go on a message board they have which I did. At first they were helpful and said they would arrange someone to phone me, which after 3 days they did and told me they don't think it's the hard drive and maybe the motherboard and it will have to go on despite having an on-site warranty, I challenged them about this but was quoted some bizarre section in the T&Cs. I was told a returns sticker would be sent out with a letter saying I have to use the original packaging and if not available to get one from a supermarket but if I did that if it anything happened I am responsible, I did not have the original box as having got the pc from a well respected company and having on onsite warranty I did not think it would be needed. So I tried to find a suitable box but could not so I contacted them online and asked if they could send one, they said I would get a phone call about this which I did the next but it would cost me £10 for a box and £5 for the packaging. So I have a pc problem I never get contacted but they think there's a chance of more money from me they ring straight away. This was the last straw for me so have asked for a refund to be told, no because I did not contact them soon enough, I have told them it was not for the want of trying and the pc was not fit for purpose and want my money back. If this does not happen I will be seeking further action. I am still waiting to here from them |

After weeks of trying to get them to do something about it, they want to collect the monitor, leave me with nothing. Then send me a replacement after it has ben inspected by them. Which if customer services is anything to go on, then this could be weeks!!! |

From: mukesh | posted: 25.11.2006 21:25 I bought mesh after looking award winning reviews in october 2004.This is the biggest MISTAKE I have ever made . My computer is now gone for the repair second time .This time graphic burnt out. Lucky it happened while working at that time with burning smell coming out from the back of computer. I have still got 1 tear left and live close to mesh computer office ,I dropped my pc for repairs . They said it takes 21 days(by the I have just found out it is actually 21 working days). so I asked can you please mark for urgent all my sons Alevel course work is on the machine. Graphics I understand takes 10 minutes to change. Since taking my computers on the 3rd november I have contacted several times and spoken to customers who were totally unhelpful and kept saying somebody will call. Guess, No one did. I rang them again on friday last week the woman said mesh computers do not ring their customers. So how will they inform me what is the situation with my computer. I was also told they have to upgrade with new graphics card which means they have to wipe or format the hard drive and all data will be lost. So I asked them to please save all the contents within my documents. I was told this not their policy. My last word GET DELL or any other pcs except MESH.You have been warned. |

From: J.S | posted: 28.11.2006 19:28 I wish I'd found this forum before I bought my laptop. I've not had the same horror some of you seem to have had. but I've found MESH woefully aweful. First they postponed my order because my delivery and billing addresses didnt match... they were identical... and didn't even tell me, I found out the day after my delivery date when I rang them to ask where it was. They proceeded to delay the delivery twice more, finally getting the laptop a month after ordered, complete with the wireless adaptor and cooler I'd ordered, but not the wireless router I'd paid for. After four months of repeated emails and phone calls nothing has turned up. In that time the DVD drive has started to play up, although having experienced their customer support I was unhappy about adding this issue. (Is that a tactic? Make it so bad people don't take the trouble to complain). Now the monitor has started to go wrong, refusing to turn on at random times. I've now requested that they either give me a solution on how to fix it myself, or repair it. They say they won't give me a refund since I can't return all four items (they only delivered three!). Please, don't go near them. You get less value for money at PCworld, comet etc, but at least you can take it down there and demand action without the standard "I'll look into it" bullcrap. |

From: N W | posted: 01.12.2006 10:19 This is why i listen to my brother who is an expert (compared to my knowledge of computers, which is a big fat 0). I showed him a machine in an advert from Mesh. His reaction was do not touch them as the quality of the build and customer service would result in me never speaking to him again. His advice was to go to Evesham and i can say they are brilliant. The machine look's good and works fantastically. Ok i had to ring the technical line about something, but they found the problem and fixed it over the phone. More importantly to me though is the fact that they were polite and helpful and did not make me feel like an idiot for doing something stupid, which affected the settings. |

From: hunky | posted: 02.12.2006 12:58 Although I purchased a new tower from Mesh a year ago,I was experienced enough to order simple basic components with minimal software. The tower was well constructed but apparently little quality quality control is used as it had various clumsy faults. Mesh should make it very clear on their marketing that they do not supply back up discs for software which is irritating. I was gobsmacked by the XP settings they had done which took me a while to sort out to normal settings. I had to chase them for customary paperwork which did not arrive with my order which again demonstrates quality control problems. I would suggest that Mesh grew more customer respect. I found technical support to be very weak at best, so I am fortunate to be able to sort out most problems. Next time I buy it will be from Evesham or similar. I do feel for the posters here that have been landed with a mess of a PC. |

From: pje | posted: 05.12.2006 16:01 I have heard back from them and they offered to replace the system, which i agreed to, the pc was sent back last thursday and came back today, the problem being its the same system and not a replacement. I aske mesh why this was and and they said it was somthing to do with a window licence, but all the parts in the case we replaced. So i have had a check and they are covered in dust, more than a few days dust. |
