From: robert | posted: 16.11.2005 13:48 Hello everybody I intend to spend about £1400 - £1500 on a new PC. Athlon X2 4200+, 1Gig, 300G SATA, 6800GT, 19" screen sort of thing with 3 yr onsite warranty. It needs to be very reliable. I was looking at Mesh and they seem to provide very good value. As I work in the software business, I thought I'd look around to see what the reviews were like about their service. Oh dear! It sounds utterly abysmal, hardly a good word said. Davey is, it seems, their only respected and highly experienced engineer but you'll pay a fortune at premium rates to speak to him. Very disappointing. So, I looked at Evesham. A tad more expensive but great service apparently. I hope so, cos that's where I'm going to buy I reckon! Let me know quick if you think I'm wrong. Ta! Robert |

From: Ed Badke | posted: 20.11.2005 09:41 Just to echo what many of you have already said. We have has a terrible time since buying our computer from Mesh. It has broken doiwn three times to date and is still not functioning correctly. The after sales service is nonexistant. They leave you hanging on the phone for half an hour, lie about appoinments are technically incompetent and don't ever call back. So far we have had to waste eighteen days sorting out this mess. I have tried to contact the MD but he is proving to be even more elusive than Mr Relic - which takes some beating. Enough bleating. I am about to start a campaign against Mesh bringing in various consumer organisations. I intend to start with the OFT, Trading Standards, the PCA and the Computer Ombudsman. If you are expereincing problems I would suggest you try something similar. Buy from this company at your peril. You have been warned. |

From: Keith Harmsworth | posted: 20.11.2005 19:16 Just another warning............. I bought a PC from Mesh - it was late (no delay in taking my money though), it took several calls trying to find out what was happening before it finally appeared - incomplete - wrong keyboard, no mouse. Many more calls, promises of replies and action - nothing. Emails didn't work - got a reply saying their server was full !!! (for 4 days !!) I bought my own mouse and keyboard. After 3 months I got a credit for the extra I paid for a cordless mouse and keyboard and finally gave up trying to get even an apology. The PC is generally working, but I have some problems with the TV tuner - I just won't use it. My only regret is that on the PC Advisor forum someone recommended that I immediately return everything and claim a refund through the credit card company. Thay also advised contacting Davey by email directly who made all the right noises and reassurances, but nothing happened. Irrespective of the quality of the products the company is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to deal with. I'm going to cut and paste this and send it to them and every forum I can find. They don't deserve to be in business. I bought in January and to see the comments are the same so recently....... My expeirience was not about a fault, a misunderstanding or confusion of any kind. I sent them a letter, registered delivery, stating all I wanted was to recieve what I had ordered -- nothing........... Really, save yourself a world of grief and buy elsewhere. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED BY MANY PEOPLE they can't all be wrong. |

From: Andy - Surrey | posted: 21.11.2005 09:21 Still happening, their on site warrenty is not onsite, check the small print. Unless it's obvious like a broken monitor they always want to ship the machine back to base for any actual PC fault. They say this is becuase they cannot do any diagnostics on site which is just a scam. This means they never will have to actuall do on site warrenty. Lost my machine for 3 weeks for a power supply problem! You have been warned. |

From: Ian Sankey | posted: 21.11.2005 11:50 I echo every single negative comment about MESH - they are an absolute joke. Buying a MESH machine was money down the drain. Despite having a 3 year warrenty less than a year after 1 purchased it my top of the range machine stopped worked, 2 months later despite onsite warrenty MESH haven't even looked at it. I've spent over £50 on their 0870 numbers, wasted countless hours and my business has suffered as a result. Don't waste your money - don't buy mesh. |

From: Greg Ellis | posted: 22.11.2005 14:33 Bugger! I can't beleive what I'm reading...I've just bought from MESH. My PC is allegedly being delivered on Monday. I have been reading the IT press ( Comp Shopper/Buyer, PCPro etc ) for several years now and have only ever heard good things about the multi award winning company. Thats why I bought one. Hey, Davey from MESH. Please don't balls up my order man. If it don't arrive or if its not all there or if its not in A1 condition or if it don't work........I'm gutted coz it sounds like theres f*ck all I can do about it :-( This kind of publicity could kill a company. Take heed Davey from MESH.........or you'll be out of a job! |

From: John Redpath | posted: 23.11.2005 19:54 Bought Mesh PC: Dispatched on the date they told me. Amtrak delivered the box and speakers but misrouted the monitor (no marks for Amtrak). Phoned Mesh who immediately tracked the fault. Monitor delivered 1/2 day later. Mesh then phoned to ask if I had received it. V little phone hang on and friendly staff at Mesh both pre and post sale. Mesh top marks in my book. The machine is excellent - good build, excellent monitor (Relisys 19") and spec exactly as ordered for a very good price. Beats Dell. Incidently, inside very tidy with well made easy access case. Not bad at all. |

From: Greg Ellis | posted: 30.11.2005 16:15 After my last post I thought it only right and proper that I report my excellent buying experience with MESH. The PC arrived on time, in A1 condition with all the correct hardware and software installed, was well built and works properly. Well pleased. I would recomend MESH to anyone. They also provide an excellent after sales service in a forum at www.hexus.net called mesh.care@hexus. Davey is on hand to deal with any problems swiftly and hassle free. "One man can make a difference". Well done MESH! |

From: Ed Badke | posted: 01.12.2005 20:47 Just to let you know that since my last posting I have not got any further with Mesh and have now lodged an official complaint with the PCA. To add insult to injury Mesh is now lieing and trying to blame me and my wife for their failings!! Fortunately I have the evidence to prove my case. If it is too late to cancel your purchase two pieces of advice:- 1. Keep good records of events and telephone calls. Mesh will misrepresent the truth if it suits them. 2. If you have any problems don't bother with the service centre. Instead contact Tony Ricardi at delivery@meshcomputers.com In the end I suspect this weight of customer critcism will encourage Mesh to wake up to the nightmare it regularly causes for its customers. I will keep you posted on how events pan out. |
