From: Nick | posted: 14.12.2005 13:54 Wish I'd seen all this as well before buying. Touch wood can't fault the actual working of the hardware but it is a noisy beast. I was mis-sold a top of the range brushed aluminium case which the sales guy said made the PC a lot quieter. Bullshit. I have a big problem with trying to activate the Student Teacher Office software (so really holding work back) and it looks like I'm not alone (looking at the Hexus forum) and there have so far been no replies in 24 hours to any posts or requests for assistance. Wish I'd gone for a Dell now. Email at nickie@barnsoft.co.uk |

From: Confused PC buyer | posted: 27.12.2005 22:17 It seems from all the adverse comments regarding MESH computers that they are a company to be avoided.Yet, consider the facts, they are the second largest manufacturer selling over 60,000 units annually with a failure rate of less than 1%.....FACT.So why are there so many disgruntled owners 'out there'? I too,am about to buy a new high spec pc and according to the publications, 'PC PRO' and 'PC ANSWERS', they rave about MESH as being top notch computers...I wonder why? Thses magazines receive a tidy advertising revenue from manufacturers such as MESH on a regular basis, so it is obvious that they will lavish such praise on their products inorder to continue to receive that revenue! Biased?Of course they are....so beware these reviews ....they mean absolutely nothing.Talk to other users and obtain sound impartial advice from impartial sources! Anyone recommend a relaible pc? Good luck. |

From: Cass | posted: 29.12.2005 17:29 Thanks to all of you - was about to order a Mesh Pc. I had enough trouble with Vodafone when I signed up for a mobile contract with them - can't face the same fiasco from Mesh.Amazing tales of woe! What do people recommend? Lost now! Was told an AMD Athlon Processor good- but that seems to leave me with Mesh and Evesham - Evesham havent been too hot so far....had a couple of chats ( quite helpful, except for London branch ) and visited shop in London - waste of trip, useless sales people.Worried they could turn out like Mesh. Dell dont have Athlon stuff yet. Thank you again. |

From: Tony | posted: 03.01.2006 12:08 Shock! Horror! Dismay! I too was about to purchase a MESS computer via the build-your-own facility but after reading the above comments, No effing way! I don't own a computer at home but have worked with MAC's for the past 10-15 years and I love them. After much thought, though, I made the decision to go for a PC for my home use and MESS looked the best bet. So, if not MESS then who? Can anyone recommend anything? I want to use it for design work and video editing. Ta! |

From: Joe | posted: 03.01.2006 20:02 Yup, thanks guys. Meanwhile a lot of foren are crawling with disgruntled, annoyed, raging and suicidal cusomers, who had the misfortune of dealing with Mesh. Time for them to take notice and do their do and realise; customer needs have moved on. The lure of the fastest, biggest and meanest just doesn't cut it anylonger. Certainly changed my mind |

From: David | posted: 12.01.2006 17:55 Stumbled across this thread whilst looking for something else. Couldn't believe what I was reading. Five years ago I bought my first PC from MESH after reading the rave magazine reviews. Nothing could have prepared me for the problems in store. My PC was declared `Dead On Arrival'and had to be returned for repair. All the accounts of atrocious after sales service - waiting ages on premium rate numbers for replies, MESH staff failing to return calls, Supervisors refusing to come to the 'phone to deal with my dissatisfaction were as real five years ago as they appear to be today. After weeks of dissatisfaction I wrote a lengthy letter to the Managing Director of MESH. Guess what? I didn't even get the decency of a reply. In the end I had to take my machine elsewhere to get it to work properly. It is therefore no surprise that I have not returned to MESH for subsequent PC's. I just can't believe that this company is continuing to offer such an abysmal service after all this time (showing nothing but contempt to it's customers) and still be in business. |
