From: Michael | posted: 26.02.2006 09:05 don't for get about the distance selling act it gives you 14 days to return any item. Also if mesh don't deliver your computer on time reufse delively when it does turn up. Also if mesh give you an rma number before you can return an item you can do the same to them do not accept back if you fed up with it keep going wrong the carrier has to return it to the sender. If you have problems and paid by credit card or debit card if its a visa card only ask for your money back. keep a record off when you called them and who you spoke to. If all else fails go to the small caims court |

From: a sufferer of Mesh | posted: 02.03.2006 11:07 I just received a new tower from Mesh costing over £600. My opinion is that it's simply a thrown together wreck of a tower. The only good things about it were the motherboard and processor.XP was incorrectly installed without the driver for microphone, and the sound card or wiring is faulty, and XP itself is unmanageable due to its formatting. So I'm left with having to buy XP home and reinstall, install a decent sound card, and simply having to rebuild this wreck of a tower. As a 6 year experienced user and XP user, I am very aware of what is wrong with this tower.Even simple testing or quality control would have told anybody this tower was defective.Lastly I have no confidence that MESH could dream of rectifying this mess of a tower,so I am left to sort it out. Shame on Mesh |

From: lets see the funny side | posted: 03.03.2006 11:44 So OK I just paid £600 for a tower which was a mess on receipt, and I'm now waiting for 'Jeremy Beadle' or the 'You've been had' presenter to arrive! So OK I'm a 6 yrs user with a little know how and very experienced with XP. I cannot believe how this tower was thrown together and wonder if it is a practical joke! The XP settings are beyond my control and I wonder if the registry has been tampered with.Surely XP installation is a simple task as its hardly rocket science that most of us can do half asleep. Lets ignore the scratching rasping sound system, perhaps thats modern tastes.Anyways I guess 'I've been had' as a practical joke and the real tower I ordered will arrive soon! The good side is that I have a hilarious story to tell friends about this, but who the hell will believe it? The bad side is that as an OAP I cannot afford these jokes on me. As for Mesh, a little sad but lets bless them as they do their best, but would suggest a little quality control might help them a bit. |

From: A Anderson | posted: 06.03.2006 10:36 Last week Mesh were supposed to be sending me the printer I ordered after missing it off my original order , (when I first ordered the pc I PHONED BACK THE NEXT DAY AND ASKED FOR TWO UPGRADES TO MY ORDERED PC ) , when it arrived I couldn't detect the card that permits wirless use to the modem (that was 1 upgrade I asked for) and no printer ......... I contacted them and they assured me that the printer would be sent. This morning a guy in a van turns up with 4 parcels ......... the same guy with the same computer with the printer !!!!! I said , "wait a minute I didn't order two PCs ," , he said " I am instructed to make a full delivery or note that you have refused delivery ......" ! so he took everything back , including the printer I had ordered . Eventually after 35 mins being handed from one person to the next on the phone , they agreed with me that the order had been replicated ! I said forget the printer and the wireless card and cancel my charge on my credit card for the unasked for PC ............... "we cannot do that until the PC is safe back in our shop ......... from the delivery company " they said ....... great isn't it .......... I have been billed twice (4 weeks ago) and am having to run through phoning my credit card company tomorrow and ask them not to charge me any interest on that payement ........ more switchboard hassles........ and more bland innane music ......... Today I phoned Mesh (30 mins later) they still haven't sorted it out ......... they seem to make a habit of duplicating orders and hanging onto other peoples money . |

From: Mesh Support | posted: 08.03.2006 15:34 Hi there, Whilst I appreciate that many who post here will do so to vent off a little steam, and to share a complaint with the general public, it strikes me that those who do, may actually still have an outstanding issue that needs resolution. For that reason I would like to take this opportunity to remind Mesh customers that I can be contacted directly via davey@meshcomputers.com I will need you to provide your Mesh Order number so I can access any details of your account I may need, and unless you wish to relate the details of your complaint in the email, the name used here so I can find those details. From: lee | posted: 12.03.2006 23:34 i bought a laptop for near on a grand cos it got a good review from the pc mags. So it arrives three weeks late, then within a month the skin starts to crack at the hinges, after several calls to mobile support(third party service center) they agree to replace the skin. So i send the laptop off, it comes back a week later, i start it up and hey whats wrong with the graphics look weird, so three phones calls later, they agree to take it back, so off it goes, comes back two weeks later, graphics card was faulty, but they had to change the mother board as well. so i comes back , i start using it but hold why does it keep crashing, several phone calls later they agree to take it back but it will take four weeks to do, what the hell ive only had the damn thing for six months. can i get any one senior to deal with problem, hell no. Can i get any one to make a decesion to replace with a new machine hell no, apparently its up to mobile support, but they say it's up to mesh. so who the f**k is it up to. This is not how you look after customers. i found mesh customer service to totally inept, and their senior people totally arrogant and dismissive, as for mobile support they are the worst ever. do not and any cost buy from mesh. Any way so far it's seems to be working but who knows what more is in store for me. Mesh is a waste of time and money. 'caveat emptor' - buyer beware. |

From: Happy Mesh User | posted: 13.03.2006 00:56 Feel I should add my two pence worth here. I bought a top range Mesh Pc about 2 1/2 years ago. Although I am based in Bristol (studying) my family lives in london very close to Mesh HQ. I ordered my PC instore and it arrived in Bristol a few weeks later (1 Day later than scheduled) . Although I feel I am tempting fate something rotten here, in the 2 1/2 years that I've owned the machine, it's been pretty much great. Its an Athlon3000xp on an Asus board with an Audigy Platinum and Radeon 9800Pro All-in-wonder + some other nice bits and bobs. (Nice for 2 years ago anyway!) In that time, I had one problem, about a year ago, where the fan on the graphics card had died- so the system would hang after about 5 mins of use. I called Mesh (Don't remember having to wait) and to my surprise (as I wasn't even sure of the state of my warranty) I was informed a technician would be with me after the weekend. Monday comes and a pleasant chap from a local firm turned up, had a look, took out the old card, fitted a new one, tested everything and that was that... back on full steam. So perhaps it has been a case of a good company taking on more than it can handle and has now let standards slip, which is a great shame because Mesh has always been a winner in my book...? Sorry to hear about everybody's crappy experiences- Good luck, Chris. |

From: Tony | posted: 13.03.2006 16:58 Hi there. My new PC arrived a fortnight ago. The 19 inch monitor is beautiful :-) As a pc, the build is excellent and it is very sturdy and robust. Issues: Firstly, the onboard sound card does not work correctly. My 5.1 surround speakers (which definitely work) do not omit sound from each speaker. I could send the PC back to Mesh but would prob have to wait a fortnight and so may install a new soundcard separately myself. Other than that, once when i restarted, a black screen displayed a disk error message. After restarting twice more it loaded up fine. No repeat problem. So on the whole very pleased with my purchase so far - just the sound card issue is disappointing. I guess I will have to wait to see if the test of time favours this purchase. I would currently recommend Mesh to anyone looking to buy a decent computer. Tony |
