From: Skipper | posted: 15.03.2006 12:16 I've owned a MESH computer for around four years and have had no problems with it at all. Decided to upgrade and phoned their Sales people to spec what I wanted. They were very helpful and I had no problems whatsoever. They phoned back when they said they would and got me all the info I asked for. The PC was delivered 24 hours late not a problem for me because they phoned 48 hours in advance to inform me that it would be late. Powered up the PC without any problems and everything works fine. I've no direct experience of their after sales service as I haven't had to use it but am delighted with the PC, it's build quality, performance and price and cannot fault MESH in the way that I've been dealt with. |

From: adrian | posted: 15.03.2006 15:39 There certainly are a lot of unhappy customers on this forum!! However, how many happy satisfied customers are there? Indeed if I had experienced the types of problems that you lot have had I too would be annoyed. The satisfied ones probably never post on here anyway. I bought a mesh computer about 2 years ago which I customised - very good value and was on recommendation from 3 others people I work with who have had no problems either. It arrived on time worked straight out of the box. Also inside the box it was very tidy and well put together with branded parts and peripherals. But..Just before Christmas I was experiencing intermittent black screens and OS corruption occasionally and so I had to reload XP about 4 times over a period of 2 months (dead easy to do btw.). I contacted customer support with the serial number and they e-mailed back in 24 hours and suspected the hard drive. I was instructed to send it back. This cost £35. Amtrak arrived on time and the pc was returned. They had it on test for a week and reported that they couldn't reproduce the fault but they would replace the hard disk as a precaution. so they replaced my 160Gb disk with a 250Gb foc., reloaded XP and all the latest drivers and it was returned on time as promised. In fact they rang me twice to report progress and the expected delivery time back to me. Since then it has been working ok. So I think it only fair to give an example of Mesh providing a good value PC that when a problem arose after 2 years was efficiently and professionally carried out.(btw. I also use dell computers at work and they aren't perfect..) |

From: J. C. | posted: 15.03.2006 19:07 To the people worried of buying Mesh computers : I am going to buy one "soon" (i.e. 2 weeks maximum) and I'm not that worried after having read the whole thread. Why ? Because it's always the same scheme everywhere : your only hear the people who DID have problems with the service. It's exactly the same scheme for ISPs (and particularly ISPs), Hi-Fi or anything else. The annoyed customers express thei anger/disappointment to warn other people but the satisfied ones, you never hear them because they don't need to express anything ;) They're happy with Mesh and... that's it. Just my two pence. PS : sorry for my English but this is not my mother tongue ;) |

From: SB | posted: 17.03.2006 14:52 I purchased my system (Matrix 3800) in April 2005. I like the system and it seems well put together. I had a problem with the sound 5.1 surround system and have so far had a frustrating time in trying to resolve this issue. The helpline are abominably slow in answering and I have had the same mixed response from the technicians as others have experienced here. One guy in particular is horribly rude and ignorant (South African accent) and really tries hard to make you feel stupid when it is clear that you do not have the same technical knowledge as he. The problem is not yet resolved, they do not call back when they say they will and also have not sent me the instructional e-mails that they have promised on two occasions. This is a great shame as I was initially very happy with the sale and delivery and have been let down by poor after sales service. |

From: redcerg 18/3 | posted: 18.03.2006 11:35 SB,read your complaints with interest, as I also received my Matrix 3800 about 2 weeks ago.I also had sound problems, but found their Technical Help Dept totally out of their depth in understanding their own installed system.I researched the web and found SKYPE who are the living breathing experts on all sound problems, and was able to cure my own PC easily. Please remember the name SKYPE for help with sound.I still have one other software problem caused by mesh, which again I am turning to experts on the web for help, and would not waste my time expecting Mesh to grasp the problem and solve it. In fairness, Mesh staff have never been rude to me, the Tower I got was well constructed.I am pleased with the matrix 3800 tower, nice work! I was a little silly in letting Mesh install XP for me which has only caused nagging little problems. Should have installed myself as it's simple enough. I give Mesh 10/10 for construction and 3/10 for software installation, and Tech help boys I give 2/10.I give Davey their PR guy a 9/10 who tries to keep us all happy.I would still buy from Mesh again for tower construction which they are very good at. Overall I am happy with my new tower and am fortunate being able to cure software probs my end. |

From: RobTheRover | posted: 20.03.2006 01:48 I bought a Mesh Matrix Athlon X2 3800+ PC in Novemeber 2005 from Mesh, and the whole thing went by the numbers to be honest. Excellent sales service. I even rang back twice - once to add a second DVD drive and once to ask for the monitor to be omitted as I had ordered a 19" widescreen elsewhere, and on neither occasion did I feel as though the staff I spoke with were discourtious or disinterested. Far from it in fact. I also checked that the graphics card would supoprt a native resolution of 1440x900, and this info was supplied promptly. The PC was delivered on the day they said, which was great as I took the day off from work, and it worked straight out of the box, and hasn't given more than a jots worth of trouble since, despite being used for about 8 hours a day. Like other posters have commented, I guess you will get a high proportion of those who feel agrieved posting on a thread liek this, and not so many who had a great experience. I certainly fall into the latter camp, and can recommend Mesh based on my experiences. Good luck to anyone buying! |

From: carlbo | posted: 21.03.2006 07:32 to Rob the Rover, was nice to see your message finding Mesh faultless, that was good to read. My new tower received about the same time as you I would happily praise for construction and hardware, they are the best at this. They let me down on the software installation side which I am still working on to correct,as I found that Mesh tech support ability simply not up to it in this area, so rely on my own + web expertise available.Overall I am happy with my new tower, and I also would confirm that Mesh staff have always been polite. |

From: madmadmart | posted: 24.03.2006 21:26 Not too sure if I've done the right thing but I've just parted with the best part of a grand. Having read some of the posts in this thread I'm more than nervous with reagards to my first purchase of a MESH machine. Now when I read a good comment about MESH I'm somewhat suspicous. Could be one of their own trying to balance the comments. I hope I'm wrong. |

From: Mesh Support | posted: 25.03.2006 11:00 madmadmart I'm glad to hear that you have chosen to order from Mesh Computers. Should you have any queries regarding your order please feel free to contact me directly via davey@meshcomputers.com Regarding posts, I'd at least like to think if we were to start posting fake good reviews we would post a lot more frequently. And if it were fair to assume the positive reviews were fake, would it not be logical to assume that some if not all of the bad reviews were also false? Davey |
