From: Jesse Philips Tech | posted: 24.01.2005 21:44 Delete those tracks and put them on your hardrive via musicmatch, 8.0 or 9.0 is what we suggest using. www.p4c.philips.com enter model number, hit enter, then click on the model that matches your model (/17, /05, /37) Then click on software, download the latest version of music match, then rip the song via music match. |

From: dm84 | posted: 01.02.2005 22:00 hello, i have been looking for a place like this as the philips tech support is horrible, but anyways, i have the 15 gig hdd and it was working fine until i upgraded to the latest firmware then it went haywire, it doesnt show words anymore instead letters are replaced by symbols like !,@ or boxes, it also wont even play any music as it freezes before it plays, tech support told me to take it into an authorized dealer but i lost my receipt and i dont feel like i should have to pay for it, any help would be GREATLY appreciated (i.e. is there a way to format it), please help! |

From: Kenny | posted: 03.02.2005 08:30 Hiya listen i had the same problem with it if you phone up philips tech support they should be able to help you. Ask them how to use media player as the main media player instead of that dodgey music match that comes in the box. You can link the HDD software to media player, ive done it so dont worry. It is a bitch to work but eventually it all makes sense |

From: Eklof | posted: 17.02.2005 15:26 Just format the stupid machine in windows explorer. By the way, did everyone but me know that the stupid machine can't transfer files in USB 2.0 speed. Thats just really really bad. One of the reasons i bought the player was that is was USB 2.0 "compatible. |

From: Andy | posted: 26.02.2005 13:14 I bought my Philips hdd from Argos in September. Within 1 week it was crashing and needed resetting. Then a couple of months later it stopped working all together. I did what the manual said, which didn't work, so i did what the online help said, which also didn't work. So i took it back to Argos and got a full refund. Buy an i-pod! |
