From: jonimash | posted: 28.08.2005 18:09 I have the HDD 120/05. Mine took a while to actually work properly. After installing the original software that came with it in the box, it was giving me an error message. Luckly I found the solution to the error in the manual and all I had to do is upgrade the DMM and Fireware to the new versions from the web site www.philps.com/support. My question to you all is does anyone know if there is a way to copy tracks onto your own computer Library that are already on the HDD if those tracks were copied onto the HDD from a different computer? In the instruction book it says that you cannot due to copyright issues, but is there a way around that? |

From: Mike | posted: 05.09.2005 22:43 Many of the problems are connected with the requirement that you run as as Administrator for this software to run. Not only that but it won't recognize the device is connected unless you are an Admin (even though Windows Explorer can see the removable hard drive). The muppets at Philips support can't even wrap their head around this one even though it has apparently been a known issue since last year. I googled on "Philips DMM ADministrator" and found a number of interesting hits. |

From: Aris | posted: 09.09.2005 19:44 hi there i also made the mistake to update the firmware of my hdd070 and now i have to download the new version of jukebx as well as windows wp service pack 1 since this version doesn't work without it! Together they are more than 150 mb to download. Since i have a dial up connection wouldn't it be more profitable to sell-who would buy?- or get rid of the damn thing? good luck every one hope you'll find a sucker to sell it to. Anyone want to buy mine? |

From: Shawn | posted: 15.09.2005 09:01 My HDD 070 froze while trying to delete music, and i am disapointed in this crap product. It was a waste of money and Time to get it. I thought philips was a good brand, but i was wrong. I suggest Ipod, or any other MP3 player. This one has too many problems. |

From: Marieke | posted: 23.09.2005 20:46 The computer doesnt seem to recognise the HDD Player. I've just had the firmware upgraded, but musicmatch still wont recognise it. Windows Media recognises it but that when I add music to it, as i turn the player on and search for the music it doesn't seem to exist.... Any ideas? |

From: liam | posted: 07.10.2005 22:34 i got my philips go gear hdd070/05 as a birthday present in june i had no problems until 2 months later the screen shattered unexplanably, then 2 weeks on it stoped working all together, i decided it was probably the battery so i went on the philips suport website like the manual says then instead of giving me the address of my nearest repair center i have to ring up first-another way for them to make some extra cash! and i can't take it back to argos now because of the broken screen!!!!!! :@ |

From: Sharon | posted: 12.10.2005 17:06 Bought this 'crap' MP3 player for our daughter last christmas, it's been used once and since then none of our 4 pc's recognise the hardware and it keeps saying problem with usb device. My daughter gave up on it by January, and I'm just about ready to throw it out of the window!! I think Philips should do a major recall of all this product and either replace it or refund all our money! |
