From: Longwater | posted: 22.12.2004 18:28 Hi there Been looking at this too as it is now available to order but am waiting for feedback on people who have used it before I purchase. Word on the street is that this is the real rival to ipod so I'm quite excited! I think it is just as stylish as the ipod and will appeal to a different audience. What do other users think of the technical specs? |

It does look good and the specs sound good too, 13,000 songs and 30 hr batter life but like you i want to hear from someone who has used it - I did come across the following in my search... http://www.t3.co.uk/news/default.asp?pagetypeid=2&articleid=33133&subsectionid=753 can anyone out there report back from the sonic field? |

From: Shamushead | posted: 21.04.2005 16:54 yeah! I bought it its one hell of a player and your right it is a rival to Ipod but there's a problem. It seems the players software is complicated, if you copy your tracks to it a code is sent with the track to identify it so if your pc crashes for any reason like mine the sonicstage program wont remember the id code leaving you without a recognised database hence! No more transferring unless you format your pc and try again |

From: Lou_75 | posted: 22.04.2005 10:13 Anyone seen the new NW-HD5 yet? From what I've read it's even better than the NW-HD3: Smallest 20gb player on the market Removable battery with 30 hrs playing time from a full charge.(40 hrs using ATRAC). A really cool backlit display that turns rotates depending on the position of the player. Updated Sonic Stage to v.3.1. And £50 cheaper as well. |

From: Haydn Allen | posted: 15.06.2005 08:51 Hi James, If you are refering to the 40Gb, £350 reduced to £199 in Dixons then yes I have just bought one. But ... although it is of very high build quality and the sample tracks are excellant there is no handbook - only a quick start guide - and efforts to obtain one through Sony proved very difficult. Even then what I obtained was of little use. Consequently I can't transfer any cds to it and am feeling like returning it to Dixons. Do you know how to do it ? Regards Haydn |

From: haydn allenn | posted: 23.08.2005 17:58 Hi Matt, I'll get back to you on those songs - the problem with my MP3 player has been resolved. The software WAS faulty hence the low price - but there is a download available that solves all the problems. Having done this my MP3 player is the best thing since sliced bread and I recommend it to anyone - with the down load of course ! Sooooooo, why didn't Sony supply it with the correct software in the first place ? Regards Haydn |
