please can some one help me.I tried to load windows 98 onto a 486 computer, and the program asks for a computer with a Math Co Processor?. what is it asking me for?

Something you don't have, I'm afraid. It sounds like you're using a 486sx machine, rather than a 486dx. You could try Windows 95 instead, but I think this also requires a co-processor (basically a dedicated part of the processor that handles floating-point maths calculations).
You may be stuck with Windows 3.1x unless you can upgrade your processor.
