From: Darren Gray | posted: 24.11.2000 01:14 Hi, Im in the process of shopping around for a new PC (a big thank you to those who replied to my earlier post about CCL Computers btw) and theres one thing that Im still wondering about... Im trying to decide whether to got for Win98SE or WinME. On the one hand 98 is probably the more well supported of the two atm, but on the other hand ME might be supported longer in the future. Does anyone have any reccomendations either way for me? Thanks |

From: Alex Cruickshank | posted: 01.12.2000 15:21 I'd be tempted to go for 98SE for now, as support is more widespread. It should last you for a couple of years at least. ME is fine (see our review in the software section of this site), but there's no DOS command line support. That may not bother you, though... |
