You can get through to sales but the last time I called, Mark just laughed and transfered me to customer service. As you might guess after half an hour on hold I gave up. We are now trying to get our money back but it may not be so easy as a credit card transaction. |

From: Sarah | posted: 24.05.2005 12:03 Don't go near them. I bought one, waited in all next day for the delivery, it finally arrived two days later having first been delivered somewhere else. No apologies. When I opened it the packaging had already been opened, there was damage to the top of the laptop and horrible sticky stuff on the bottom - how they consider it acceptable to despatch a used item as new escapes me. Four days later, I am still waiting for them to pick it up, still stuck bound to the building and they will not despatch a new one until they have this one back. I am sick of wasting my time, money, money on phone bills and am on the point of just asking for my money back. An utterly stressful experience, still not over. Stay away! |

From: Nirvana | posted: 03.10.2005 14:34 This is first time that i'm screwedup by online seller. I ordered a Sony Vaio laptop from laptopsdirect.co.uk after searching on net and finding that they have cheapest offer. I got a call today morning asking me to call them back. Since morning i'm callin gthem and no one picksup phone. One time i was connected to someone and was told that there is problem with my DD payment, and they said they will call back. I'm still waiting for their call. They don't have any Customer Services department at all. And i was damn stupid to order such costly laptop without reading their review. In past I never had any problems with online shopping and DD payments. Never buy from them. And always read reviews before throwing your money online. For me nightmare lies ahead |

From: paul | posted: 25.10.2005 22:42 I was going to purchase an amilo laptop from dabs.com i had nothing but grief from them! First of they were asking all sorts of questions, stuff like What is your relationship to the delivery address, which does nothing to enhance security, just being damn nosy and awkward. They don't have any phone numbers you can ring as it is purely web based, they took about 6 hours to reply to one single e-mail, but decided to ignore the other 5 or so i had sent over the course of a few days trying to get answers, in the end i cancelled my order and purchased from a place called c-hear based in London. I'm still waiting to know when it will be delivered. Hope their service isn't crap aswell. Although they did say they would ring me back and no one did. i hate that! - My advice, stay well clear of Dabs.com they couldn't give a toss about their customers. I can't say i can give a glowing review to this company based in London either. There link is provided below. http://www.clic2it.com/Newproddet.cfm?PartID=1203471&CFID=102587&CFTOKEN=17282237 |

From: David | posted: 29.11.2005 13:31 I've just had a terrible experience with laptopsdirect - all is fine until you need customer service - they don't answer email, don't answer the phone and never call you back. I would never buy from them again and would never recommend anyone else to. Spend a little more and use a reputable supplier. |
