From: Hansen | posted: 02.05.2005 22:10 Excuse this if it's a repeat...but do you have any reviews or experience with the Traveler slimline x5 digital camera. I paid $199 US at Aldi's. It came with docker, 2 lithium batteries, charger...is the camera any good for this price? Thanks for your input. |

From: another german guy | posted: 17.05.2005 23:07 Hi, I heard that you have a problem with the noise of the camera. There is a solution for that. Just dowload the new firmware update ( http://www.traveler-service.de/front_content.php?idcat=129 ) from traveler and install it to your camera. See the Manual if you dont know how to install the update for your camera http://www.traveler-service.de/upload/Gebrauchsanweisungen/x5_update.pdf Or go to www.traveler-service.de ( only german ) I already installed the update and i do not hear sounds anymore. I hope I could help you :-) Otherwise just contact me with my email adress. cheers |

From: tony | posted: 03.06.2005 11:43 Any news about whether this camera works with Mac OS X? There's no mention of it on on the box, bit maybe someone knows whether iPhoto recognises it anyway? |

From: Matt | posted: 03.06.2005 17:30 Can you tell me if this firmware is German language only? I want to update my firmware, but am worried that the only language I'll be able to use on my camera will be German! Thanks, Matt |

From: Jeff | posted: 03.06.2005 21:36 You can use the firmware from the german site. Just be sure to remember the button sequence to change the language BEFORE you update the firmware. It does default to german, but all you have to do is change it back to english after the update. Everything else is exactly identical. I did it to mine and all is well. FYI - I translated the instructions - all you have to do is put the unzipped .elf file in the root directory of your SD card. Then while holding the shutter button down, power on the camera. It will update automatically. It only took a few seconds too. Good luck. |
