From: Fifa | posted: 26.03.2006 07:35 My X5 has a problem in photo and camera mode. When i turn camera on in one of those modes after few seconds screen will freez up. Even if i take battery out and do the same process, screen will be frozen again. In "play" mode I can access the sd card and basic setup and thats it. I updated the camera with the latest patch but nothing. I will call the "hotline" to see whats happening. Any ideas ? |

From: Neil | posted: 14.04.2006 11:44 To Fifa: I thought zero might know what he/she was talking about, so I downloaded the new firmware. My camera locks up just like yours even after the update. The only thing that seems to allow me to get it started is to leave the camera on after it freezzes up for a couple of minutes, then remove the battery, replace it, turn the camera on, let the camera retract the lens and turn itself off, then turn it on again. This works for now but I will contact customer service. Let me know what you find out! |

From: Roger Key | posted: 03.05.2006 20:44 We bought a Slimline X5 from Aldi (Denmark) last July. Now it has suddenly refused to open/extend the lens when turned on. I can not find the documentation, so if anyone knows the address/telephone number of the Danish service workshop, I would be very glad. The Danish hotline number would also be very useful |

From: P. Borg | posted: 22.10.2006 15:18 To Roger Key, Here you have the phone number for the danish hotline: +45 70 20 29 21 But good luck getting any help from them. I tried it with my Traveler Slimline x5 bougth from Aldi. They did not help at all. I have upgraded my firmware and the camara still stalls sometimes. And the USB-connection still does not work with my WIndows XP-pro desktop. And taking pictures inside is impossible with that camera. It will only take dark photoes. My advice will be DON'T EVER BUY THE CAMERA CRAP FROM ALDI. |
