From: Wills | posted: 31.07.2005 13:13 HELP!! Have an Aldi Traveler DV-3010 and it's a great little camera. BUT When I try to play files on my Toshiba A10 Satellite Pro no matter which program I use the video runs way too slow but the sound is perfect. Running Windows XP professional and Intel Celeron. Have NO problems with any other video playback. Playback on the camera itself is also perfect. Tried it on WMP 9 and 10 and Ulead VideoStudio 8 which came with it and Windows Movie Maker - All with the same result and it's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!! |

From: David | posted: 11.08.2005 11:38 Hi I have this camera and have no problems at all on playing the video files.Your problem may be due to the laptop hard drive seek and read speed and video memory allocated from your laptop memory.I think this because all programmes running video at VGA are slower than the audio on your laptop. Audio is compressed PCM on the traveller DV and less data is required. The video on the Traveller DV is VGA at 25 fps at best level and this requires more processing. This theory can be proved by sending the files to a P4 desktop and playing them in WMP 9 they should be in perfect sync in this case. Also improve the memory in your laptop. |

From: Wills | posted: 18.08.2005 14:06 Thanks David Took what you had to say on board. Cranked everything up to max on mains power - shut down ALL unnecessary progs and now have audio/video running in sync! |

From: Jurdz | posted: 19.01.2006 08:40 I have this camera too and Im pretty impressed with it EXCEPT when I use the video mode indoors, the resulting recorded video is very dark. Using the camera outdoors it works fine. Ive had it replaced once as I thought there must be a sensor problem, but the replacement is the same. Is there any way to increase the brightness of the video before/during recording? I have a video mode on my Traveller DC-5300 and when I use the video mode on that the resulting recorded video is perfectly bright, |
