From: Barb | posted: 12.08.2005 10:13 We have not been able to connect to internet for 6 weeks, with Wannadoo saying its a BT problem, and BT saying its an ISP problem. We orginally kept getting India when we called, but have learned to hang up and call again until we get through to the UK Tech Support. We can never get the same person that we have spoken to previously and have to start from the beginning everytime we call. Wannadoo say we cannot cancel our contract. Has anyone else experienced this problem with Wannadoo.? |

From: Claire T | posted: 13.08.2005 17:50 Hi Unfortunately we had exactly the same problem with wanadoo in March 05 - when we moved properties (which they charge you £25 for the priviledge) - it took 6 weeks to re-connect. Although we had no problems when we originally signed up to wanadoo broadband initially - that took 3 days. I'm afraid it is just a waiting game. I could not understand why it took 6 weeks to reconnect when it only took 3 days initially?? Typical scenario of wanadoo looking after its new customers but not existing customers. If you've signed a contract then you are stuck for 12 months unfortunately. |

From: Gary | posted: 23.08.2005 13:55 Hi If it was me I would cancel my direct debit or if it was dopne on my credit card I would inform me credit card company not to make any more payments to them. You do have rights and at the very least you should not pay for the time you informed them of your problem to the time it is fixed. I know it is a hassel to cancel, do not let them frieghten you with the threat of legal action. If you are concerend seek advice from one of the free advice services available. Once the problem is fixed push for a refund of lost time even if you keep your contract but to be honest I would just cancel as they seem to have very poor customer care. I have broadband via cable and everything was installed free including modem and cabling from NTL . I have only had one problem and it was quickly sorted by phone (UK call centre)not had any problems since. They are a little bit more expensive but it is an unmetered service. Hope things work out Gary |

From: Donal | posted: 24.08.2005 18:01 Sorry to hear you're having this problem. Wannado used to be called Freeserve, and anyone who knows that wouldn't touch Wannado with a barge pole. It is best to cut your losses, get away from them, and as the previous poster said, stand up for your rights. If they failed to deliver the service they said they would deliver, they cannot hold you to a contract. |

From: Parrock | posted: 04.04.2006 18:10 I hate Wannadoo - they miss-sold me the Liveboox system having said it works on a Mac, but they don't support it. I'm furious but they won't cancel my contract, so I can't use another ISP. I'm stuck with dial-up. They make me sick. AWhatever you do, avoid Wannadoo! |
