From: Bobeb | posted: 15.02.2001 15:28 i`ve seen a pci version of the outrageous geforce mx (nvidia chipset) with 32mb sdr and I was wondering if its worth me getting. I have no agp slot, 333 mhz pentium 2, 128 meg ram with a voodoo 3 graphics card so I`m not sure if im going to see much difference. anyone have any idea ? I`m currently going to be buying a new puter with the geforce mx chip as my graphics card in the next couple of months so I`m not sure if i should wait for the new machine or not. I use it mainly for counterstrike online gaming etc. |

From: Alex Cruickshank | posted: 20.02.2001 13:31 Depends on how much cash you've got lying around, really! I'd be tempted to wait a couple of months for your new machine, but if you're desperate, the card will make a small difference compared with your existing card (I assume you mean online games as in Quake III servers, etc.? For most online RPGs the 3D performance won't matter hugely). Alex |
