From: hip | posted: 23.09.2005 19:26 Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite 2410 laptop and a BIG boot problem now. THE PROBLEM My Toshiba laptop came with a recovery CD-ROM that re-creates an image of the original partition and deletes everything on it, obviously no the solution I want now. Instead I have the c:/I386 folder with the whole set of Windows XP Home install files. THE CAUSE Most probably that I've put my laptop to hybernate while I was pulling off my PCMCIA wireless card from the slot. Unfreezing it has been impossible as explained. SOLUTIONS? I tryed changing BIOS parameters to disable PCI ports or any conflict but nothing happened. Maybe installing a a superior Windows (as Professional) will do, but I doubt it as I had no luck with Linux installation. Please, I appreciate any comment, help or even support and hope ;-) THANX in advance, hip |
