From: Wayne Crick | posted: 13.10.2005 14:28 I bought Two Samsung X05's a while back now, both have broken and been repaired Three times and now one is broken again and its out of warranty, and its the same problem on both, the hard drive fails it tries to boot into the OS and blue screens with a message thats there for 1 nano second and then reboots itself or it says no operating system found, before they go it boots fine on the second boot then slowly it gets worse, as IT manager I have done everything from re-install to bios updates to changing components, but no matter what after Two to Three Months of use they fail, I will never buy Samsung again, and advise anyone else not too |

From: jimbo | posted: 23.05.2006 19:06 Problem solved: I had a similar problem, rewrote master boot record...no help, bios fine, new hard drive still had the same problem. Thought it might be the harddrive cable. This hard drive cable is also found on the gateway 200 ARC, and guess what, that laptop suffers with a lot of harddrive problems. To solve the problem disconnect the cable fromthe motherboard, claen it and reattach. Job done. |

From: Jose Sierra | posted: 20.09.2006 09:58 I had the same problem with my Sansung X 05. After some minutes, the hard disk always crashed. I followed your recommendations. Simply disconnect the HD from the motherboard and connect it again. It worked and now the computer is running perfectly. Many thanks |

From: Vince | posted: 03.12.2006 16:52 I've had exactly the same problem with my x05. I have tried disconnecting the hard drive from the cable and it works sometimes, but fail again after a while. You said that disconnecting the cable from the motherboard and clean it would work, I tried but I don't know how to disconnect it. Could someone please give me some advice on how to disconnect it and clean it. Many thanks Vince |
