Acer TravelMate 2310 with Window 2000?
My custom software applications require Windows 2000 or 98SE. When I try to load 2000 or 98SE I receive a page fault error that refers to turning off BIOS Caching or Shadowing or a fatal exception. I see nothing in the BIOS refering to cache or shadowing.
Is this notebook not able to supporting anything other than XP?

I had the same situation. The famous blue screen. The problem lay in the "acpi" part of BIOS. You can avoid the problem pressing F7 (or F5) while loading the system.
