From: Liz Clark | posted: 03.02.2006 13:24 Finally i find reviews on this laptop :-) I have looked at the x50 in store over and over and have finally decided to buy it. It seems like the perfect solution to an ultra portable decent spec laptop. however, i am reading all of the post and i am slightly worried...what are drivers?? And how do i back them up? i presume that they are what makes the computer software work?? and could someone tell me how to back up my computer when i buy it. I am a bit of a techno phobe...so english would be great. Many Thanks Liz ps..about the upgrade of memory? i asked in PC world and the man in there said that you couldn't upgrade the memory. Is this true? |

From: Mark | posted: 07.02.2006 20:02 We purchased the X50 at PC City in Paris and have had the same experience with the touchpad not responding. We'll try downloading the drivers from Twinhead's Australia site, as suggested. You'd think, given how common this problem apparently is, the computers would not have gone out the door that way. We've also had one instance when the keyboard suddenly stopped responding. We'll be watching that. |

From: RM | posted: 10.02.2006 11:17 I'm interested in getting one of these - they're now £749.99 according to Froogle. Can someone tell me about the memory upgrade issue, though? I don't like to run a machine with less than a gig of Ram (I use photoshop and up to 6MP image files) and if I can't upgrade the x50, I'll need to look elsewhere. |
