I have just purchased dc-83000. I am having problems taking photos at parties etc the flash is to bright and makes the faces to white, how do I fix it, or is this a fault with the camera

Hello, I've just got one of these recently as well and found the exact same problem. Unfortunately there is no easy way of solving it (that i've found so far), you just need to play around, try decreasing the shutter speed, and/or decreasing the aperture (higher f number) as well as playing with the EV values. Also, try different settings in the white balance menu. Hope this helps.
