I've just been bought one of these for chirstmas when asked I for a digital camera. Just want to know as was slightly disapointed when i first opened it. Are these decent camera's or what?

I know a bit about cameras and know the sony lens's can't be beaten, but does the aldi live up to expectations?. i have had medion monitors and stuff from aldi before and cannot fault it as a cheap and cheerful option, but do they perform as well as the (branded)deal?
