I have a DC-8300 I bought in Aldi a few months ago. When I tried to download pictures to my PC it came up with ERROR 2.
It seems the lens is stuck.
I had an earlier traveller 5.1 mega pixels also bought in Aldi and the same thing happened. the lens seemed to stick. I brought it back and got the DC-8300 instead.
Has anyone else had this problem.

yes I had this problem with my DC-5300, I just took the battery out and charged it fully; that freed the cover up.
I have since bought the 8300 as well. very good but the flash is sometimes too strong; cured this by going manual. have fun, I am

You can also return camera and they will replace it free. Took about a week to get it back. Customer service is great. Just call the number in your owners' manual
