Hopefully there improved a bit but the 1700's don't seem too reliable. The pickup rollers wore out too quickly. You could get some more use of out them by turning them inside out, but dell don't seem to be too great at replacing them at the moment.

We've made a simple request for them to ship a bunch of them over to us and help keep costs down for them (we don't have to phone them, or get an engineer sent out to fix the problem) but haven't got too far. The last printer which had this happen to they sent out a new one instead :S.

Anyway much prefer the 5200 for a large network, much easier to support - especially with Lexmarks MarkVision.
