I am approaching the daunting task of creating movies from 24 hours worth of 8mm cassettes. I started out using preinstalled software but decided to opt for a full version package in hopes of getting everything I needed. Muvee didn't allow self editing. Windows Movie Maker, although easy to edit and create, wouldn't allow me to create a menu page or chapters and only can be saved as .WMM. Sonic MYDVD was great but hard to edit and slow.
Here is what I want...segments saved upon capture. Fun title pages with easy editing. Easy add background music and something that will not get bogged down. Any suggested software in mind for the novice? I have tried Nero and Roxio and I remain frustrated.
