From: Jeff Hardman | posted: 15.05.2006 04:51 Hi. I have a 6.31 MP that I bought about a year ago. Everything was fine until about a month ago. All of a sudden, my wife was telling me that the batteries were going dead almost instantly after charging them. I played with the camera a little, and found out that if i took the battery out, the camera would reset and take a couple more pictures before, again giving me a rude beep, showing the red X over the battery strengh indicator, it would simply shut down. The batteries are indeed getting charged. Checked them with my voltmeter. I can take a freshly charged battery out of the charger, put it in the camera, take 3 pictures with the battery indicator still showing full charge, and suddenly the camera gives me a rude beep, shows a red X over the battery meter, and instantly shuts down. I can then remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, put the battery back in, (it shows fully charged), then get another 1 to 3 or so pictures out of it before it shuts down again. Anyone have ideas before I throw this peice of junk away, and buy a Canon D30? |
