From: Mick | posted: 03.06.2006 20:00 My first attempt at laptop surgery! I just replaced the hdd in a microstar (medion) md6032 laptop. The reinstall of windows was succesful. The only(I hope!) problem I have is that the touchpad and left/right buttons do not appear to work. It possibly did not work prior to my delving. Alternatively it may be caused by a narrow (4 wires wide) ribbon cable that I may have dislodged when I released the front cover. It is not obvious where this cable needs to be inserted but from the crease it would seem to go in the same direction as the much wider cable that goes under the keyboard. I have a couple of photos I took but it does not look like I can post them to this forum. Can anyone give me a clue as to where to start with this? |
