I noticed in this review (http://www.itreviews.co.uk/hardware/h824.htm) that you commented on not being able to get BBC3/4 and not knowing why:

"When we scanned for TV channels, we found we were missing a couple: BBC 3 and BBC 4. We tried extending the range of the scan and in the end captured them all, but still haven't worked out why the scanning was inconsistent."

Having experienced similar scanning behaviour I can tell you that this is likely to be because of the time of day in which you made the scan.

For example if you scan before 7pm you get Cbeebies and CBBC instead of BBC 3 & 4, similary if you scan after 7pm you get the opposite effect.

A way around all this is to do two scans, one during the day (saving it as Freeview-Day) and one during the night (Freeview-Evening).
