From: Teri | posted: 14.09.2006 06:26 I bought a new hard drive for my HP notebook because the stupid Norton GoBack program ruined my other hard drive. I installed the new hard drive and for some reason the computer is not recognizing that a hard drive is even connected. I know the hard drive is properly installed. I am trying to get in the BIOS screen but it keeps asking me for a password. I never set up a password for it, but it was a floor model so maybe the workers set one up. Does anyone know how to override this? I already tried removing the battery, hitting the reset button and booting from a windows XP disk. The recovery disk is no help either. If some knows how to get around this I would be extremely grateful!! |
