From: Kevin | posted: 05.02.2007 23:08 I also sent them an email with a scanned copy of my reciept, again no reply. Not happy with the company running the upgrade as they had problems with the site and I emailed them weeks ago without a response... looks like Microsoft picked a dud when they chose moduslink. |

From: jonathanmusto | posted: 08.02.2007 15:12 I emailed them a copy of my reciept too, only yesterday though as didn't realise you had to until I read these posts!! Just shows how thoroughly I read my emails! I don't have a reciept to scan though, I just forwarded on my email invioce, hopefully that should be ok? I'll give them some time before I start chasing them, it does say on the email up to 6weeks... I can see this whole 'free' upgrade thing being lots of hassle already!! |

From: Lesnufc | posted: 09.02.2007 11:06 The Moduslink site includes a link to check the status of an order. It basically shows your order and whether or not it has been shipped. There is no indication of when this might be. |

From: Kevin | posted: 10.02.2007 20:41 Hi Thunderbolt, I emailed moduslink a terse email and got the reply back that they are too busy to reply to receipts sent via email. I was also told they intend to start shipping at the end of this month, with delivery within 4 to 6 weeks... that really is a bad shipping time, especially considering the fact that they charge for delivery (I ordered a cable from the US on ebay, cost me £3 postage and I got it in 2 days - 4 to 6 weeks with over £2 delivery seems like they are taking the p***) |

From: TRIXXY | posted: 15.02.2007 01:25 Has anyone managed to connect this laptop with an xbox360 using the media center? I've been trying for days now with no success, Ended up phoning microsoft helpline. He told me to right click on 'my computer' then click properties to see which version of media center I had. Doing this shows the X56 seems to be running the old 2002 version of media center, not the current 2005 version. Helpline then told me I needed the 2005 version to be able to use it with my xbox360. The strange thing is if you check the settings actually in media center, it says its running 2005 version?! So I still aint got the X56 playing nicely with my xbox360. Think i'll have to wait till I get Vista installed and see if it'll work then. p.s - still waiting for my copy of vista :-( |
