I have a x56 for the last few weeks and find it very good....but the fan is quite noisy. It comes on and off at random and is very noticable. The unit I got was a display model so I think the fan is just worn out. Sounds gritty. Complained to PC world but they said they would have to send it away! No Thanks! Does any one know where I can get a replacement fan?

I received an email from Moduslink today stating that my POP has been validated and that my order will be shipped soon. Checked the site and it now says POP/COA validated. Still no shipping date as yet, plus their email had the obligatory 4 to 6 weeks delivery date on it. I wonder if the £16.10 is for Modu$$link to cover their costs or another way for Micro$$oft to make money... a lot of us wouldn't splash out the £179 for a Vista upgrade in the shops, but this way they still get at least £10 after P&P (plus the pretty box and the DVD can't cost much anyway).
