From: ThunderBolt | posted: 14.11.2006 21:59 Hey up all... Leon As for the Windows installation problems it may be that it has a SATA hard drive. In this case you'll need to install the SATA drivers first. On my desktop PC I used a floppy to do this, but believe it can be done using a USB drive. Not 100% sure though. Try more technical forums for more help! I see that this Philips has been stated to be a "rebadge" made by another firm. I think 2 have been named so far. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of an official site where the FULL specs are listed?!? And one last thing... I'd love to hear from some one with a code for as much off this as possible as well! Cheers folks, LD! |

From: Tim | posted: 15.11.2006 16:01 I've just lifted the lid on my X56 and noted the following: It has a Fujitsu SATA hard drive, rated at 5300rpm (I think) There is only 1 RAM slot occupied by a TwinMOS PC2-4200 SO-DIMM/CL4 I would like to know if I can install 2Gb RAM in this slot. The chassis appears to be aluminium with a plastic coating, which is probably why the base feels sturdy and the screen surround a bit bendy! Tim. |

From: Andy | posted: 17.11.2006 16:20 Tried for about an hour to get codes after reading all the comments about discount etc, gave up as I could only get it down to 649.00. I did however ring Dixons online and told the guy the truth ..."i just want it as cheap as you can do it" How does 584.10 grab you!!!! paid for by credit card and is on its way. Saw this in the flesh in Currys a while ago and it looked great. Nearly bought a Dell XPS1210 online but is a good 200 quid more for the same spec. Only time will tell. |
