From: Teyrn | posted: 21.11.2006 14:27 Hi can anyone offer any help or advice, I have the X56 notebook, which I think is a brilliant piece of kit... but I have to got to the states for a few weeks and I want to keep in touch with back home using Skype and access my ISP. Can anyone tell me how I can do this, as I have never needed to use a laptop abroad before... Any help appreciated as I am a newbie to all this... Thanx |

What you would need is the dial in code (pref toll free) for where you will be in the US. Depending on where you are and where you are staying you will find wifi very available, for example starbucks has free wifi, you would be able to use skype there and also access internet, most hotels have wifi too - check yours before you go. If you do need to use your isp let me know which one it is and I'll try and find a number for you. I hope this helps somewhat, if you can give me more info re where etc I can probably point you in the direction of websites that will show you the free wifi in that area.
