From: Geoff | posted: 12.08.2001 10:43 I have just fitted CD-RW to friends machine and after several reboots everything seemed fine. However, initially windows 98 couldn't see his DVD drive (F), then after 3 or 4 reboots it did report it as present then after last reboot it disappeared again. Can anyone tell me what is going on? |

From: Alex | posted: 14.08.2001 18:46 Intermittent faults are usually due to hardware. Check that the cables are all properly connected and, if possible, try the drive in another machine, or on the other IDE channel. If it still seems to have problems, there could be a fault with the drive. Alex |
