From: charlotteo | posted: 22.10.2001 13:52 I have a WinTV card and am generally happy with it because I have a computer already and can't afford a decent TV. It saves space in my tiny apartment, and I get a picture quality that is fine. Once the card was set up, not too difficult to install really, and I learned how to scan for channels and my VCR, everything went fine. The problem is that I live in France, but have a NTSC (US format) collection of movies that I brought with me. The VCR is NTSC, and the WinTV card has an NTSC setting, but color movies come out black and white. Secam videos come out normally, so it's something to do with the card lacking enough of something or other for me to watch NTSC color movies in color? The Hauppaghe site does not discuss this topic. Thanks for any constructive advice. |
