I'm just about to purchase my first PC, specifically to help me create my own music.
A friend of mine (with some PC knowledge) has put together the actual computer hardware "on paper" and has suggested some software. However I would like some more advice on the matter from professionals, as I'm really serious about making music on my new PC.
For instance what other hardware may be of use to me and what software should I be looking for? Also how many extra ports will I need to link my PC with this additional hardware?
