Can I change my pioneer DVD-106S to RPC1? (Just with firmware...?) What are the two so called "reserved jumpers" on the back side of the drive reserved for? thanx 4 answers

Those two 'reserved' jumpers won't do it, but a firmware upgrade via software patch almost certainly will, since other companies are selling this drive as region-free. Search the web for the drive name and 'region free' and you should find a patch. Be warned, though, the patching process isn't always straightforward, and if it doesn't work you'll ruin the drive and wipe out your warranty...
