From: mike k | posted: 07.01.2002 19:15 in febuary last year i brought a h/p pav 8770 comp with a 733 celeron processor and 11 mb intergrated graphics and no agp slot which at the time was fine but now im having trouble playing a lot of the games now being released ive upgraded the ram from 64 to 320 so i know its not that is there an easy and cheap way of upgrading my comp without going to the extent of a new motherboard and dedicated graphics card |

From: Alex | posted: 14.01.2002 15:29 Companies like Elsa and (I think) ATI do versions of their nearly-new graphics cards with PCI connectors, which you should be able to use. They're not quite as quick as the AGP ones, but they're not bad. Alex |

You can 'switch off' the on board vid and pop in an older model card such as Voodoo or Rage for under £35 and just a couple of minutes graft. Yes, pci is a little slower than agp but if it makes the games play... |
