in febuary last year i brought a h/p pav 8770 comp with a 733 celeron processor and 11 mb intergrated graphics and no agp slot which at the time was fine but now im having trouble playing a lot of the games now being released ive upgraded the ram from 64 to 320 so i know its not that is there an easy and cheap way of upgrading my comp without going to the extent of a new motherboard and dedicated graphics card

Companies like Elsa and (I think) ATI do versions of their nearly-new graphics cards with PCI connectors, which you should be able to use. They're not quite as quick as the AGP ones, but they're not bad.

You didn't say if you have any free PCI slots in your motherboard. You can 'switch off' the on board vid and pop in an older model card such as Voodoo or Rage for under £35 and just a couple of minutes graft. Yes, pci is a little slower than agp but if it makes the games play...
