From: rastan | posted: 01.07.2005 03:08 hi, you can find the datasheets of the I.C. on http://www.alldatasheet.com/ but only this for schematic I tried to answer altec but don't have response at this time (. This can perhaps help you help you, so if you have no ON/OFF and NO UP/DOWN volume it seams it is the PT2256 is the cause of this. I have this prob on mine, I change the 4013 and the 4011 but the problem persist. If you desolde the pin 6 & 7, the ON/OFF restart but you don't have the volume UP/DOWN. If you don't have the sound with this you can try to shunt pin 2 & 3 and pin 14 & 15, in this case you retrieve the sound but without volume adjustement. So you must find the PT2256 and change it to restore the normal working. Hope this help you. ) and others have the same prob. rastan |

From: Mahesh | posted: 04.03.2006 10:38 I have an Altec Lansing ACS45; much thanks about the pinout. Note that for my system, the Volume UP and DOWN are reversed as compared to your arrangement. Otherwise it works beautifully. One question: the ACS45 does not seem to shut off when the volume UP and DOWN are pressed simultaneously (my logic is that i connect vol UP+DN+Ground all together). any fault in my logic? or is the ACS45 (don't know about the ACS45.1 at all) simply limited in this way? One more device saved from the landfill :-). --------------------------------------- I have internal wiring for ASC45.1 (using digital volume control). ~~| |~~ 2 / * _ * \ 3 1 \ * |_| * / 4 \ * / 5 ~~~~~ GND pin 1 speaker R pin 2 speaker L pin 3 speaker DOWN volume bottom pin 4 speaker UP volume bottom pin 5 LED Green Did any one have the schematic of it. |
