Ok...I have a BIG problem...my camera will not let me download my pictures to my computer...I can view them on the CAMERA, but I can not view them on my COMPUTER....I have tried reinstalling all the drivers and programs and I can view other mini CDs in my cd drive....I have finalized the disc and now it is coming up w/ the "protect disc" error anytime I try to do anything....is there ANY POSSIBLE way to get these pictures off my camera?! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...no matter how far fetched they are...I'm DESPERATE!!! These pictures are very important!!! Thanks! Christin

We reviewed some CD recovery software (CD-R Suite) in the Utilities section of this site (see the menu on the side of this page). That might (only might) help you retrieve the files if they are actually on the disc but not normally accessible.

I JUST GOT MY MAVICA, I FOUND WHEN YOU LOCK THE PICTURES IN AND USE, JAVICA IN BROWSE AND WHAT DRIVE THE DISK IS IN MY PICTURES WERE THERE, IHOPE THIS HELP .

Need a driver for Win XP Home , for the Sony MVC CD 1000.
Sony says, them dont make such a thing , if you have one send it to me.

I have the same problem. Can view pictures on camera but can't view them on the computer (XP). It doesn't recognize the camera and when I put in the small disc it says there is nothing on it.

The Sony Mavica MVC CD1000 is a very expensive camera. ($900.) I bought one about two years ago. Now I have upgraded to WinXP, and it doesn't recognize the camera. Sony told me this, when I called them. They can't fix it, they don't care.
The camera is now JUNK.

You can view pictures with the A/V connection
and play the discs thru your TV
Burn the pictures to a DVD
works fine

I'm having a problem with my SONY MVC CD 1000 in that I can not finalize a Memorex CD. It keeps saying "disc error."

Does anyone have a workaround for this problem? I am using a MAC G-5 computer.
