From: brian | posted: 13.05.2000 11:44 On hearing of Tom's need for a more suitable modem, (8 May 2000) I find myself in the same position, slow downloading. I have a 33.6 external and am thinking of changing Isp's. I have been advised to change to V90. Don't want to spend too much. what can you recommend? |

From: Alex | posted: 15.05.2000 14:59 It's worth trying a new ISP first. Their performance varies dramatically, and since many are now free, you can try them without too much hassle. Freeserve and BT ClickFree are the popular ones, but other lesser-known ones are just as good if not faster. Have a search for 'free ISP, UK' on a decent search engine, and you should get some useful results. |
