From: Nikki Archer | posted: 08.07.2004 07:57 I bought a Traveler D1 in June 2003 and it worked perfectly for 9 months then just stopped dead. I was in Laos at the time and a friend in Uk rang the German number and got a very friendly man who said to send it back. I posted it from Vietnam a couple of weeks later with instructions for them to post it back to my friend who would forward it to me in Bangkok. She received a brand new camera for me within days of me sending the old one - very speedy. I picked up the new one in Bangkok in May and have had nothing but trouble with it ever since - finally last week it stopped working completely (just like the first one). Iam now in Malaysia and have had enough of the Traveler's problems as I'm missing many photo opportunities so I've just bought myself a Minolta!! I will be returning the Traveler to Germany with a request for a complete refund . I would suggest everyone thinks twice about buying one of the Traveler cameras from Aldi. |

From: Alex Rodger | posted: 12.07.2004 13:06 Me too!! Tried everything and can't get any photo downloads to Win98. If anyone knows how can you let me know. Otherwise the camera seems potentially great value, but no use without successful/easy download facility. |

From: Chris Harrison | posted: 13.07.2004 09:07 I had problems downloading my Traveler DC-3000 to XP. You have to disable your anti-virus protection system whilst connecting - it is instant after that. Not very impressed with the camera, though! |

From: DavidM | posted: 15.07.2004 07:44 Can I suggest you ring this number which is the number of the Traveler people in Germany. It is a freefone number and very good English is spoken. They should be able to explain how to overcome your problems. 00800 7877 2368 |

From: TOM BRADY | posted: 23.07.2004 15:20 Found traveller C 5300, to be excellent in all respects however one small problem, loaded memory card contents to PC using card reader, edited photo using photoshop elements, then sent edited images back to memory card using drag and drop. In replay mode camera said NO IMAGE, although the images were printed from card at Jessops. Maybe its a file format error which prevents the images being displayed on the camera in playback mode, any suggestions? |
