From: Luna | posted: 27.11.2003 01:15 Umm...I phoned up Germany today and spoke to a guy (excellent English) about how the hell to upload the pics from the camera to the pc and he told me to disable my Norton Anti Virus. This was after he found out I was using winxp pro. He said that a menu should pop up. I don't see how disabling Norton will make any difference though. The thing is, there was only photo editing software with this camera. I'll let you know anyway IF it works..fingers crossed :o) |

From: Ekpokoba | posted: 08.12.2003 08:09 1. The slot for the ALDI DIGI CAM DC3000 is in the batery compatment.Just open where the batery is inserted OULA! you'll find the compact fl. slot. 2.I am using a COMPAQ EVO N600C laptop with MS Windows XP Professional installed- German edition (if that should make adifference). I never knew that there are some difficulties uploading the pictures because as soon as I plugged the camera through the USB slot it responded automatically and uploading or editing the pictures is a matter of answering a few questions. With Win95,Win98 I am sorry U have to install the USB because although it might exists on the Mother Board but it is not activated in these systems.Goodluck |

From: geoff vost | posted: 08.12.2003 20:39 Someone posted a message that stated that traveler cameras are re-badged medion equipment. this is not so. traveler are not conected with medion or aldi, save for the fact that they are both german companies and both deal thro aldi, tho not exclusively. the cameras are not made in germany, and i would not like to guess at the component's parentage! that said, i have both medion computer and traveler camera and am blown away by the quality of both items!! |

From: Russ | posted: 10.12.2003 18:48 The DC5300 was reviewed in a group test by PC Active and got a Best Buy. If still in doubt check Jessops.com, their Centon DC5 is an identical camera which they are selling as their own brand at £300 in store or £250 on line, some features may vary ie size of memory card & Centon has AV out port etc. Batteries are around £24. I've had mine from Aldi for a week, it's been faultless and easy to use, downloading to windows XP via USB or card reader was easy, haven't tried their software yet just MS Picture IT & MS Fax & Image Viewer. |
