I to had problems with the screen, multi colours, in the form of a jigsaw.
Used the free phone to Germany, very helpful they suggested either return to them, or try my local Aldi. Took it back to Aldi who changed the camera without problem. from Roy

how much is the dc5300

Hi sheila, I too have a traveler dc3000, did you ever sort out anything with the problem downloading the pictures, I too cannot seem to download??, have you managed to find out why it seems to take forever to even register the cameras connected?? I see you posted this last september, so if you get it please reply, many thanks Jason...

I got a present of Traveler DC3000 in august 03 & have not managed to use it yet
The batteries will not charge they last for about only 5 minutes & then switches off. I have tried different batteries!
does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Get a card reader. Much quicker transfer of images from memory card to hard drive and no problems with recognition! Wonderful! I also need to know where to get a battery for dc5300!!!

there are plenty of NiMh 2300 m/Ahr batteries on Ebay
these have much higher capacity than Alkaline Batteries. They are rechargeable up to 1000 times and do not have a memory effect like NiCads,and can therefore be topped up with a charge at any time just go to Ebay in outlook expres and type in " NiMh batteries "

Alan, I bought a battery for Traveler from for £18.79 inc. post. The no. is db19583a The power is 3.7v 1050 mAh . It is for the TOSHIBA pdr5300 which is the identical camera. JOE (glasgow)

I recieved as a gidt the Aldi Traveler DC 5300 digital camera. The manual is in German. Any chance that someone out there knows where to get a manual in English?
