From: Lawrie Davidson | posted: 04.07.2000 15:53 I am about to receive my new computer. My old one has only a floppy disc drive. Has anyone any suggestions as to the best way to transfer large files, like ACDSee files, from the old to the new computer. Can you just link the two together direct ? Any help gratefully received |

From: keir | posted: 10.07.2000 17:02 A Direct Cable Connection is probably the best way. This is already built into Windows 95/98. For this you'll need a parallel laplink cable -- available from Dabs Direct or such like for around £15. It's not a hard procedure -- look under Programs/Accessories/Communication/Direct Cable Connection and read the help files. |
