From: alistair | posted: 17.03.2000 21:48 i have found the after sales service fron time as very poor although i now have a computer that works very well. The free support line and the paid line are exceptionally poor with calls responded to on the helpline after two minutes with an answering machine that effectively cuts you off but charges. The warranty was undermined by my inability to get through to the helplines and when i did the staff unable to assist. They frequently didn't call back when they said they would and despite my computer being back to time five (yes 5) times it was only on the sixth return that it was replaced. This carry on lasted nearly eight months. No apology no apparent regret! Mr Spock is fictional and from my experience so is their after sales service. Would I buy again or recommend No No No. |

From: N1 | posted: 19.03.2000 14:49 Well, I think TIME expect you to sort stuff out yourself as when I enquired about purchasing one from them - they said they hope you know how to fix stuff yourself - thats why you have to PAY to return your own PC Back to them for repair under the first year warranty. And I'm sure its hell to get thru' to Technical help. They have some good overall spec's but individualisation or any changes to spec. is just not allowed. Their monitors are no good either. Their best point must be catching people attention by advertising powerful spec's and good Call Centre housed by non-technical or PC aware aliens... |

From: Mr. L.J.B. Butler | posted: 03.12.2003 13:54 My Time computer came with "Windows ME" installed. I upgraded to "Windows XP" as a result the "Mustek"scanner that came with the computer will not work under " Windows XP"! This computer has no ethernet connections so I bought a an ethernet PCI Card, fitted it,only to be informed that the computer does not recognise PCI cards and warned me that I should not even attempt to use same.(if not in so many words!) Can you please advise; I need both the scanner and the ethernet connections. |
