The process is now to go to www.tiny.com/deopt/ You need your name and tiny account or order number - you then get taken to Granville Technology site where you are given a deopt ket and a download file into which you enter the key after you dload. If it doesn't work I'll be back to let you know!! |

From: Scott M | posted: 05.04.2005 12:09 Hiya all - after 2 weeks of trying to get rid of this stupid pop up that appears every time I start my computer - I have finally cracked it! You do NOT have to download anything to get rid of it! Its very simple really! When you start your computer and the popup appears, look at the bottom of your screen, and you will see the word "Status" with a small Supanet logo next to it (the letters SN) This is what they have called the Popup. Close the popup, then go to START, SEARCH, then type in "Status" in the search. Select all files and folders, then search. When the search is complete, look for the logo you saw, and then right click on it and delete it. Next, empty your recycle bin, and then restart your computer! (Dont delete anything else on that search screen, just the one with the logo you saw) When you restart your computer - voila! the popup is gone! |

From: Olly Reeve | posted: 08.05.2005 19:38 It took me ages to successfully 'de-optimimise' my modem so that i could access other ISP's other than supanet on my Tiny PC. However, for anyone else with the same problem, just goto: http://www.granvilletechnology.com/deopt/deopttiny.php On this page you will be asked to enter your forename, surname and your original order number. Once you have filled in this information simply click the 'submit' button and you will be given a 'de-opt key code' and prompted to download the 'de-optimiser' software. Once downloaded simply install the de-optimiser and enter the key code. A few seconds later your modem will be unlocked and are you free to use whichever ISP you choose! Easy! |

From: TimeAreCrap | posted: 20.05.2005 09:12 The funny thing here is that the laptops are not optimised modems, just the desktops. If anyone wants an easy way of deoptimising a modem I have a small program given to me by a member of the computer shop staff that you run and it deoptimises it for you. I can also provide software that allows access to the hidden partition with the restore information in it. |

From: David Knightly | posted: 04.07.2005 18:42 This is updated method of deoptimising Tiny/Supanet. 1 set-up supanet pay as you go account using forced dialler that appears after windows loads. 2 using new account go to www.tiny.com/deopt and enter required details...order no. is pc serial number. 4 deopt code will be provided...write this down and download deopt application(save to desktop). 5.log onto supanet and then run deoptimiser app. & enter code when requested .....modem should now be deoptimised. then delete all supanet/internet explorer shortcuts & ensure no reference to these in "Programs..Startup. Then... START,ALL PROGRAMS,SET PROGRAM ACCESS & DEFAULTS...check ms windows then click ok. This will enable proper IE as default. Next RUN, MS CONFIG & find "supadial" ...remove tick. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!! |
